Like Any Good Song

Sometimes life doesn’t work out that way
No matter how much you have to say
It’s runs its own course and it takes you along
Makes you wonder, like any good song,
Where the love in your life is going to shine,
Where the pain in your heart will become mine.

Plan for every thing that could possibly go wrong
Find your weaknesses and make them strong
Reach out a helping hand
Open up your heart and
Maybe you’ll finally see
All the things you’ve tried to be
And then maybe you’ll know
Why things aren’t just so

Sometimes life doesn’t work out that way
No matter how much you have to say
It’s runs its own course and it takes you along
Makes you wonder, like any good song,
Where the love in your life is going to shine,
Where the pain in your heart will become mine.

I can’t tell you what the future brings
And can’t warn you of so many things,
But I can say, in all honesty,
That what you can’t plan are some of the sweetest memories.
I want to bring you things and make you cry
I want you to look at me and ask me why
Why do I stand beside you through your pain
Why don’t I ask you to be sane

Sometimes life doesn’t work out that way
No matter how much you have to say
It’s runs its own course and it takes you along
Makes you wonder, like any good song,
Where the love in your life is going to shine,
Where the pain in your heart will become mine.
